POTD: Sturmgewehr 77 – NATO Mountain Warfare Center of Excellence
In Today’s Photo Of The Day we get some fresh air from the Austrian Mountains. We are looking at soldiers with the Sturmgewehr 77, the Steyr AUG (from Armee-Universal-Gewehr) which is a bullpup design in 5.56×45 mm NATO.
The pictures are from a multi-week training course, for soldiers from the international “ NATO Mountain Warfare Center of Excellence” to increase the knowledge for missions in the mountains
Which is the best way to “travel” in the mountains? By Quad-bike, horse or by rope?
Or on foot?
