Epic Firearm Scavenger Hunt, Only 43 Left To Find

    Epic Scavenger Hunt

Have you ever had the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt for firearms? Whether you have or haven’t, join us and cheer on the one guy that is on a bitter-sweet quest.  Redditor Jayheag7’s (hereafter referred to as “Jay”) grandfather passed away recently, but his love of scavenger hunts didn’t follow him into the grave.  The grandfather was kind enough to will his entire collection of firearms to his grandson, the only catch was that Jay had to find them first.

Jay confirmed in his Reddit post that his grandfather loved doing scavenger hunts with him as a boy.  Despite the loss of a loved one, Jay has the opportunity to fulfill the plan his grandpa had layed out before his death, reliving memories as he goes.  At the moment Jay has only found 9 of the 52 firearms his grandfather hid.  For those that like to see numbers, Jay is only 17 percent done with the scavenger hunt.  One good aspect is that Jay lives relatively close to his grandparent’s home.

9 of the 52 guns Jayheag7 has found thus far. Image used with permission.

By looking at the picture, I spot an SKS, Mossberg 590, a couple Ruger 10/22’s, and a Ruger P89.  I’m not familiar with the revolver, the derringer, or the two .22 rifles in the middle.  Any guesses?  Jay made mention of of some of the guns he knew his grandpa had, and his hopes to find them soon.  He explained that his grandma probably knows the hiding spots, but that there’s no way she’s going to tell him where they are.

Stealing top comment to update and thank everyone for there condolences. I will be back to hunting this weekend and will post any updates on guns I find . as of guns I know he has and I really want to find is a custom ar-15, an xdm, xds, a ksg, some weird flamethrower, and the mac daddy deagle. I will post hopefully videos and picture of hiding spots and guns found! Happy hunting…..

What do you think of Jay’s scavenger hunt?  Have any of you had a relative will you their firearms but stipulate that you had to find them first?  We wish Jay and his family well in the face of their loss, but I highly doubt his grandfather will be forgotten.
