TFB HALLOWEEN: Your Worst Gun Fears And Spooky Buys

TFB HALLOWEEN: Your Worst Gun Fears And Spooky Buys

I have learned a lot about the firearms industry from my time here at TFB. But one of my most important lessons has been to never predict the death of a company or a segment of the industry until you see a corpse in a coffin and you’re throwing dirt on the lid. And even then, you can’t count out the chance of a resurrection.

As I hammered out a particularly harsh news story a few years back, my friend, mentor and the founder of TFB, Steve Johnson, warned me to not underestimate the resiliency of the firearms industry. Wise words. And, of course, the internet has a way of magnifying your worst gun fears. Let’s take a look at the living, the dead and the undead in the firearms world.

TFB HALLOWEEN: Your Worst Gun Fears And Spooky Buys

Our job here at TFB is to bring you fair, accurate and balanced news surrounding the firearms industry – as well as reviews, editorials and the always annoying affiliate holiday gear lists (I’m sorry, see below). I’m incredibly proud of our staff of editors, writers and videographers – they continue to bring you excellent content in spite of all my administrative harassments.

The point I was trying to make using my advanced artistic skills in the title image is that, despite what rumors float around on the World Wide Web, no one really knows what’s living, dead or undead. From Colt to H&K and Remington, predictions of demise are often greatly exaggerated. Other topics like bump stocks and the Hearing Protection Act (HPA) are pretty much dead and buried. While still others, like YouTube Gun channels appear to be dead several times in any given year, continue to march forward. As evidence, Executive Producer James Reeves and the rest of the TFBTV Crew crossed 700K subscribers this week. A major accomplishment for such a young channel. Congratulations guys.

While TFB doesn’t get everything right, we will continue to bring you the latest developments, advances and regulatory news as it comes across our virtual desks. Thanks for reading everyone have a fun and safe Halloween.

(And as much as I joke about .45 ACP being a dead caliber, everything has its place.)
