If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only have Fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you the readers, deemed the cowboy themed F-1 firearms rifle to be cowboy themed fudd crap.

At this time the original auction remains up and while this Rhinestone F-1 awaits its new adoptive home.  Just like all firearms, we at TFB can only hope that someone will find it in their heart to give this rifle a home.

For those not familiar with the HGFC series, this isn’t the first or even second American flag themed gun we’ve featured.  Although this might be the most confusing one we’ve ever featured.

As someone with zero interest in “The Purge” family of films, I can safely say this is the most confused AK I’ve ever seen.  There are some tiny details like the unpainted rear sight leaf that show an acute attention to detail.

For all its charm, I still can’t figure out why this needed to be done to a Saiga.  I’d much rather see the end of this barrel threaded rather than painted.

Doing a deeper dive into the photos you start to notice the small flaws in the paint.  Not that these are all that terrible, but for $2,500 I’d expect it to be flawless.

I do appreciate the seller disclosing all of these photos.  This said, I don’t think they’ll help his chances of selling the rifle.  Maybe I’m wrong and there are some die hard purge fans out there.  I think this AK needs to have its paint job purged so it can be returned to its former glory.  But hey, that’s just me.
