Neomag has introduced its newest product called the Sentry Strap. This new sling strap is designed to be a sling staging strap that will help keep a single or two-point sling out of the way when storing a rifle or shooting when a sling is not needed. The design consists of a nylon strap with two strong magnets keeping the strap and sling in place and out of the way. The real party piece to the Sentry Strap is the ability to pull the sling with minimal pressure to have the magnets release. When the magnets release, the sling drops free giving a shooter the ability to freely use the sling. After a short phone call with NeoMag, they say the Sentry Strap is ambidextrous and mainly designed for AR platforms right now.

Details and Release Date

Currently, the Sentry Strap will be available in a black nylon strap with red sections where the magnets are stored. There hasn’t been a word on whether or not there will be more colors and variations for different weapon types. NeoMag offered preordering slots to order products as they come in. Those have been shipped out to customers and when they were released last week the website shortly sold out. NeoMag is most well known for making high-quality magnetic magazine carriers for concealed carry.

I’ve gotten the chance to look at NeoMag’s Sentry Strap. Honestly, I think it’s a cool concept to contain your sling when it’s not in use.
