People think ceramic armor is fragile, but is it really? To find out we blew up a Shot Stop level IV+ rifle plate (model #D1581SSB) and then shot it with an AK and an AR.

    The confusion here is this: When military guys talk about "ceramic" plates, we are talking about the old ranger vest "fully" ceramic plates that nobody uses anymore (except maybe 3rd world countries). The plates tested in the video are NOT fully ceramic plates, they are composite plates made with a layer of ceramic and other materials. Composite plates are multi hit capable but fully ceramic plates are not and will usually shatter upon impact rendering them useless. Yes this includes dropping them, I know from experience lol...
