Featured Deals of the Week – 9/13/19

    Deals-of-the-Week-Header-1

Hello and welcome back to another Featured Deals of the Week. I’m your host, Benjamin F, and this is the “I just got back from vacation” edition of DOTW.

    Colt LE6920 5.56 Carbine – $899.00

    What the deal is:

It’s the Colt LE6920. I mean there’s not much else to add, most everyone is familiar with the rifle. With a 16.1″ chrome-lined barrel, a 1:7 twist, and all Magpul furniture, this is a rock-solid rifle. Many years ago this was even considered the entry-level AR-15. Of course now with the Ruger AR-556 and similar offerings, it’s more of a mid-level offering, but it’s still a fantastic rifle.

    Why it’s a good deal:

As I’m sure you all know, Colt has stopped manufacturing civilian rifles to focus on military contracts. Availability is going down, while demand is staying roughly the same. That means the price is going to go up. I’ve seen websites selling these for MSRP, so if you’re looking to get an LE6920 before they all sell out, this is the deal for you.

    10 D&H GI Magazines and 10 Magpul PMAgs – $159.99

    What the deal is:

It’s exactly what it sounds like. Ten D&H Aluminum GI magazines and 10 Magpul PMAGs (Gen M2) in one package. Because really, do you ever have enough magazines?

    Why it’s a good deal:

PSA has been running this deal for a while now, but I wanted to bring it to everyone’s attention just in case you were unaware of it. You’re getting 20 magazines for just a hair under $8 each, which is an average price for the D&H magazines and a good price for the Magpul magazines.

Magpul Gen2 iron Sights – $49.99 with code mbus set

    What the deal is:

Iron sights! Lovely lovely iron sights. Spring-loaded flip-up iron sights. Hard to break, hard to mess up, and these are pretty good even by those standards. While specifically made for the AR-15 platform, these will work on any 1913 Picatinny rail, so I suppose there’s nothing stopping you from slapping them on your 10/22 if you really want to.

    Why it’s a good deal:

Normally these seem to go for somewhere around $75-80 as a set. However, with the code “MBUSSET” on PSA, you can get both for just $50. Not bad. It’s a fairly common sale, but it’s one you should jump on while it lasts if you’re in the market for irons.

    Sig Romeo5 Red Dot Optic – $92.99

    What the deal is:

Is there a more iconic budget-friendly red dot than the Romeo5? Don’t answer that you’ll just make me sad when someone points out I forgot something totally obvious. However, this is a fantastic red dot for someone (me) who doesn’t want to spend $200+ for a Holosun. It’s got a “shake-awake” system to help save battery life, and multiple brightness levels to suit your need. And yes, this is the model with both high and low mounts, not the budget one-mount model.

    Why it’s a good deal:

Slot this into the “deals that Ben actually bought” category. It came out to just a hair under $107 after shipping for me, which is a fantastic deal. I know during Labor Day there was a better one, but I was on vacation, so as penance, here’s the best one I can find post-Labor Day.
