HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Blockbuster Blaster or B Movie Disaster?

Welcome everyone to the 25th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this gat a sweet deal or only have fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you the readers, decided the tribute Fett Blaster was really more of a Fanboy Disaster.

With that defeat, the listing expired. After the listing expired the seller decided to relisted the Glock on GunBroker. He also lowered the price from $4,500 down to $3,500.  We can only hope this price is low enough for someone to adopt this custom Glock.

In this week’s edition of HGFC, we look at a Resident Evil-themed AR pistol that’s ready to fight the undead. As is tradition, this Custom AR Pistol is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $999.00 Buy It Now (with the seller accepting offers).

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Blockbuster Blaster or B Movie Disaster?

Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:

“Custom color “nectarine taint nightmare” mixed by Andrew Lloyd Webber” -Pete

“This wouldn’t be that bad, if it wasn’t painted with nail polish.” -Giorgio O.

“I like the black parts mostly.” -Eric B.

“Classic… for the guy who roots for the Empire, hates the Na’vi, and thinks Tanya Harding did nothing wrong.” -Hop

“Ah, piece 1 of 3 for the “Boomer Zombie Dad Starter Pack” matching Umbrella Jeep Wrangler and “Z0MB13” vanity plate sold separately.” -Luke C.

“Zombie Blaster or Sloppy Disaster -James Reeves

“Girth is clearly more important than length.  Or looks…” – Tom R.

“It folds and covers part of the ugly” -Mike R.

“Does this gun come with an actual umbrella to stay clean when shooting zombies?” -Doug E.

Selling this custom movie tribute gat is GunBroker seller 300ArmsCorp, located in Wellington Colorado.  Let’s see what they had to say about about this Hollywood themed AR.

Be prepared with this Custom 5.56 AR pistol with Umbrella Corporation theme. Now with a side folder.

    This 5.56AR pistol features;

-300 Arms forged lower W/ oversized trigger guard

    -Mil-spec Lower parts kit

    -6061 Aluminum Mil-spec upper

    -7″ Barrel

    -Flash can muzzle device

    -Magpul handguard

    -SBA3 brace, with side folder

    -Red/Green dot optic

-Black, White, and Red Cerakote, Custom laser engraved with an Umbrella Corp theme.

This pistol looks and shoots Awesome. Comes with a matching 30rd Magpul magazine, a free case, and a free 300 Arms T-shirt.

All 300 Arms firearms are Made in Wellington Colorado USA, and are test fired prior to sale to ensure quality.

The bright Cerakote acts as a great distraction on this pistol.  You’ll probably have the gun back in the bag before someone notices features like the TACFIRE optic.

Having “300 ARMS” engraved on the bolt is a little confusing. .300 Blackout is now a common enough caliber among AR owners to make this seem like a potential accident just waiting to happen.

We all know that zombies are governed by ATF laws, and that’s why this blaster is equipped with an SBA3 brace. No permission slip required.

If you thought the fun stopped there you’re dead wrong. That SBA3 brace side folds for convenient firearms storage and transport.  This is just what you need to defend yourself in Raccoon City (or your basement).

It is far more practical than some of the other weapons I’ve featured on HGFC.  It has an arguably reasonable price tag.  Plus any and all modifications can be undone.  While you contemplate what to modify, you can hang it up over your Milla Jovovich poster in your childhood bedroom.  I’m sure your mom will love it.

What do you think?  Is this AR a Hot Blockbuster Blaster or B-Movie Disaster?  Be sure to let us know in the comments below, and cast your vote to let us know if this Umbrella themed AR Pistol is a Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
