HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Fett’s Blaster or Fanboy Disaster?

Welcome everyone to the 24th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this gat a sweet deal or only have fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you the readers, found the beast bullpup was actually more like fudd throw-up.

With that defeat, the listing expired and the seller hasn’t relisted the PS90.  It was a dark day for the bullpup community and a major defeat for this “Beast”.  We can only hope that someone finds it in their heart to give this PS90 a new home.

In this week’s edition of HGFC, we look at a Glock 19 made by Boba Fett’s biggest fan.  As is tradition, this Gen5 Glock 19 is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $4,500 Buy It Now.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Fett’s Blaster or Fanboy Disaster?

Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:

“Put that thing in the cargo hold.” -Benjamin F.

“Shoots low left every shot. This gun sucks.” -Pete

“A perfect sidearm for all of those Man-derp-lorians out there.” -Tom R.

“Glock 2099: Discarded Tampon Edition” -Giorgio O.

“I’m a huge fan of the Fett and that is a garbage fire.” -Nick C.

“Looks like a nuclear meltdown. The only thing it transmits is probably radioactive.” -Eric B.

“Some of these guys need jobs making movie props” -Hop

“I’m not sure what that has to do with a Webley and Scott flare gun…” – Rusty S.

Selling this over the top Star Wars themed gat is GunBroker seller gundogarmory, located in Clermont Florida.  Let’s see if they can provide a little more insight into this custom job.

For sale is a truly one of a kind firearm. This firearm started life as a Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS and has been customized by professional gunsmiths and cerakoters. The parts list is as follows.///PARTS LIST/// Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS// Zev Tech G5 Omen Slide// Zev Tech STS G19 Threaded Barrel// Zev G5 Flat Trigger bar and race connector// Zev G5 19 Mag flared MagWell// Zev Mag base plate extension// Zev 9mm Comp//Zev Tech Pro Striker Spring Kit// Trijicon Suppressor Night Sights Orange Rear Green Front// Trijicon Type 2 3.25 MOA RMR// Surefire X300U-B Weapon Light// Custom Blown Deadline Boba Fett Cerakote// Custom Boba Fett One Off Design Laser Stippling// Custom Kydex IWB AND OWB Convertible Boba Fett Holster. This firearm was assembled by with all new parts and test-fired fairly extensively for reliability. This firearm reliably feeds most ammo types 115-grain weight and up with no problems. Anything lighter weight may cause reliability issues due to the compensator. This firearm is race or show ready right out of the box. Includes original Glock box with spare magazines. This firearm unloaded weighs just .10 ounces more than a standard unloaded Glock 19. This is truly a one of a kind firearm with a lot of work and skill put into it.

With both a strange paint job and modifications that “feed most ammo”, you can count me out as a buyer.  Apparently, someone missed the “Glock is fine” memo.

Grip stippling can be tastefully done on Glock (if that’s what you’re into).  Turning that stippling into an art project is something else entirely.  I don’t know if I should laugh or cry.

It looks like they’ve left no blank space on this Glock canvas.  I guess if you’re going to laser stipple part of the grip, you might as well do the whole thing.

Matching IWB holster for your over the top Fett Glock.  You got it.  That way you CCW like your favorite bounty hunter totally does (*allegedly).  Let’s just hope you never have to use this custom piece to defend yourself.  I can’t imagine this looking good marked as “exhibit a”.

Who knows, I could be wrong.  Star Wars is old enough that maybe some of their fudd fans have realized that the future is now.  Clearly, someone put in a lot of time and spared no expense building this Fett blaster.  So who knows, maybe there’s a diehard fan that’s ready to buy.  I’m certainly not holding my breath.

So what do you think?  Is this Fett’s hot blaster or some old fudd Star Wars themed disaster?  Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to cast your vote and let us know if this Boba Fett themed Glock 19 is a Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
