HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Beast Bullpup or Fudd Throw Up?

Welcome everyone to the 23rd edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this gat a sweet deal or does it only have fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you the readers, agreed that the Olympic Arms OA-93 was clearly a hot gat.

Sadly, it wouldn’t be the quintessential Hollywood ending for this hot gat. It appears that even with all the fame (and the strange chambering) that the price was just too high for the OA-93. As such, it remains for sale on GunBroker at this time – still waiting to be rescued by John Clark and Jack Ryan.

In this week’s edition of HGFC, we look at a “Beast” themed FN PS90.  As is tradition, this bullpup is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $1,500 Buy It Now.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Beast Bullpup or Fudd Throw Up?

Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:

“Who in god’s name put monster energy drink themed wrap on that P90?” -Benjamin F.

“Unleash The Beast? Return To The Basement.” -Pete

Please re-cage that “beast”. Jesus Christ.” -Will P.

“As found on the scene of the last fight of the TMNT” -Giorgio O.

“Good to see Monster energy getting into the gun business” -Luke C.

“The Beast? Really? Not sure where that name comes from, as it cannot be the tiny 5.7×28 mm round. Some custom Cerakote colors should be banned.” -Eric B.

“For the discerning “Kyle” who wants to escalate from just punching his drywall. -Will P.

“That abomination almost makes me nostalgic for the neon Zombie Hunter paint jobs of yesteryear. Almost.” -Hop

Selling this monstrosity of a bullpup is GunBroker seller gundogarmory, located in Clermont Florida.  Let’s see if they can provide some sort of explanation for this paint job.

For sale today is a FN PS90 with a custom Monster “Beast” Cerakote. This firearm is lightly used and comes with the original box and 2 50rd magazines.

First things first, let’s look at what’s awesome about the PS90.  The PS90 is the slightly different civilian version of the P90. It still uses the 5.7x28mm cartridge and 50 round magazines but lacks that cool short barrel look.

The short barrel look is what most P90 enthusiasts are after.  The select fire P90 (the Law Enforcement/Military variant) has all the cool looks in a much smaller package.  If you’re buying a compact bullpup, this is the look you probably want.

For all its movie charm the PS90 and P90 are often overlooked firearms. The bullpup trigger leaves much to be desired. Ammo is far from cheap and almost impossible to reload. Should you choose to seek out the P90 look, you’ll need to register your PS90 as a Short Barrelled Rifle. That alone can dissuade most buyers.

Who knows, maybe this tactical “Chad” (or Kyle) decided a lime green Cerakote job was enough to make this PS90 a Hot Gat. Or maybe this is the Fudd abomination you create after too many Monster “Sips”. As always, we leave it up to you, the readers, to decide.

What do you think?  Is this beast of a bullpup a Hot Gat or some Monster Sippin Fudd Crap?  Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to cast your vote and let us know if this Green PS90 is a Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
