Featured Deals of the Week – 8/16/19
Alright folks, you know the drill. Wallets out, card balances paid off, let’s have another Featured Deals of the Week. As always let me know in the comments if you want me to go find some deals that just aren’t making it into the list for whatever reason.
Honestly, I hadn’t heard much about these pistols before I started researching this deal. As it turns out, these are pretty great little guns. Their OAL is just 6.77″ and they weigh 24 oz, making them just a bit longer and a bit lighter than a Glock 26. But of course, the G26 fires 9×19 and has a shorter grip. Is this a concealed carry gun? Ehhh. Personally, I would rather a modern subcompact, but from the reviews, it looks like the Beretta 81 shoots like a modern subcompact, so it’s up to you.
Why it’s a good deal:Is this a good deal though? Yes. The listing states these guns only have some holster wear and have rock solid internals. If you’re into surplus guns (like me) this is a great deal. If you like .32 ACP guns, this is a great deal. However, if you like polymer-framed striker-fired handguns, this is not a good deal.
I mean, it’s a Glock. There’s not much for me to say here. I do not like Glocks that much, but I know that makes me a heretic in the gun community, so here’s a Glock deal. It has front slide serrations and no U-cut in the grip, which should have been standard two years ago, but here it is now.
Why it’s a good deal:These tend to go a lot closer to $600 than this, and with the added benefits (front slide serrations, no U-cut) this is a pretty great deal.
I won’t waste too much time on this, as a far better and more in-depth review was published by TFB’s very own Rusty S here. However, to reiterate some of his conclusions, this is a solid rifle that’s a great entry-level hunting gun. As he put it “if one is looking for a budget-friendly rifle, give the Mauser M18 a look“.
Why it’s a good deal:EuroOptic is selling these rifles, depending on what caliber you choose, for $459 (.243 Win), $469 (7mm Rem Mag, .30-06, .270 Win), $489 (308 Win, .300 Win Mag), or $499 (6.5 PRC, 6.5 Creedmore). No matter how you slice it though, it’s savings of around $50 over other retail prices.
I mean there’s not much else to add here. Crossbreed Holsters is doing 10% off sitewide, if your order is more than $75 you get another 5% off, and if it’s more than $125 you get a total of 20% off whatever you’re ordering.
We are committed to finding, researching, and recommending the best products. We earn commissions from purchases you make using the retail links in our product reviews. Learn more about how this works.
