For the month of July, we challenged our readers with the category of the “BEST PCC (Pistol Caliber Carbine)” for the Reader’s Choice. The PCC market continues to grow exponentially and if you saw our recent coverage of TriggrCon 2019 that was more apparent than ever. So while some of us view them as fun plinking firearms or great competition rifles, the fact of the matter is they are here, and they are here to stay. Normally when it comes to voting every month, there is a runaway champion and a few positional races for possibly 2nd, 3rd, or 4th occurring in the background. This month has some of the most even voting across the board that we have ever seen. Also, we had one of our highest voter turnouts yet of over 7,000 people voting and participating! So kudos to you guys and gals for continuing to make this a fun event.

This month was no exception because you bust our chops and you have some pretty good one-liners. We appreciate you engaging in our monthly Reader’s Choice polls and growing along with us as we learn and expand this all out. That is a funny GIF, and we would have to completely agree with you. Many of the choices for BEST PCC walk the line between an SBR, a rifle, a pistol… the line gets blurry pretty quick as to how they are perfectly defined.

This meme is pretty on point because the CZ Scorpion did end up being our champion so it is hard to dispute.
Since the PDW’s like the PS90 are excluded, i’ll go:
1) best overall, right now- Scorpion EVO
2) best of all time- HK MP5
3) absolute best bang for the buck Hi Point carbineIf the PS90 was on the list, it would be the PS90 hands down.

Uhmericas MP5″ is being manufactured by the Swiss.

Maybe the real America, or should I say ‘Merica, needs to start producing some USA made MP5s to eliminate that problem…
Since this is a PCC specific poll you really should have included the PTR 608, which is a US made MP5 with a fixed stock and 16” barrel like the old HK-94. They are selling for about $1500. Including a $3k HK MP5 that no one can actually buy was kinda dumb.

This was a pretty good suggestion actually, but it did not get enough Upvotes from fellow readers until nearly the end of the month; otherwise, we definitely would have gotten it on the poll for everybody.

I’d have voted Hi-Point if you had put up the 1095TS……and IMHO, the TNW aero should have been on here…..but still, FUN poll!!!

The TNW Aero is an interesting suggestion, and now that you bring it up I am surprised more people did not Upvote your suggestion.

It is true that a lot of the PCC options out on the market cost a lot of money right now. I would honestly suggest to save up for the one you truly want (if it is “too expensive” in your mind currently). You will not be disappointed if you invest in quality.
Recoiling barrels make less sense than fluted chambers or top feeding magazines in the 21’s century.

Pretending a locked breach is mechanically more accurate or reliable than a plain blow-back would require JRE doses of DMT.
Put a G41 MOS in a Ransom Rest next to LWRC’s LARP-45 and measure groups out to 50m so the planet can see the troof.
