We announced the unveiling of the Doublestar Corp STAR10-P 308 Win AR Pistol a few weeks ago, but now we had the opportunity to handle one in person at TriggrCon 2019! This AR-10 pistol is a bit on the heavy side with it being over 8 lbs, but it balances really well. With the Stronghold G10 Pistol Grip, G10 Rail Panels on the handguard, and a magwell that looks like a knight’s helmet, I made the comment to Doublestar in jest that this thing looks medieval! In a world of monotonous black guns, the Doublestar STAR10-P 308 is cut from a different cloth.

While the STAR10-P 308 might joust the competition on looks, it does also deliver in the arena of components that it is built up with, too. It handles well, the trigger is crisp, and being as it is an AR-10 pistol it is a lot easier to maneuver with than a full-blown rifle. The price consumers are looking at to get into one of these AR pistols is $2,299. Some early complaints from the gallery of internet commenters is that that price point is a bit steep. The best thing I can say is what Doublestar Corp told me in their booth at TriggrCon, and that is to get out and handle one. You might be surprised, and find yourself trying to re-arrange funds to pick one up.

The Stronghold G10 Pistol Grip and the medieval bucket magwell are catching a lot of eyes at TriggrCon, but what do you think?
