While out at the TriggrCon Range Day for 2019 there were guns galore, but there were also a lot of interesting aftermarket accessories for some of our most popular firearm platforms as well. One of those is a NEW P320 Replacement Frame being put out by Mirzon. This grip module or replacement frame is constructed to fit an array of the different P320 variations that SIG Sauer makes. The specifications for these NEW P320 Replacement Frames are as follows as presented by Mirzon:
- Organic Shape – Contour that is built around the Shooter’s Hand w/ Improved Ergonomics
- Functional Beavertail – Beavertail that hugs the Shooting Hand to Stabilize the Hold
- Over-Molded Rubber Panels – Rubber Back-Strap & Finger Grooves to Improve Grip & Comfort
- Frame Serrations – Index Finger & Trigger Guard Serrations for Easier Grip Acquisition
- Compatibility – Size, Holster, X5 Features, Slide-Lock, Serial Number Window
These replacement frames are compatible with all P320 and P250 models except for the Sub-Compact and X-Compact variations. They also accept Gen 2 17-Round and 21-Round 9mm magazines, and Gen 2 14-Round .40 S&W magazines. The current MSRP for these frames is running at $159.99 for those who may be interested.
Something that a lot of us shooters overlook is that the P320 and earlier model P250 share frame sizes. So if you really want to throw a nice upgrade at an older P250 you have laying around this could be a really good option for you.
One thing I noticed while shooting a P320 outfitted with one of the Mirzon frames is you can really press your grip high into the frame with that beavertail curve. This helps to achieve a lower felt bore axis; thus, less recoil, muzzle flip, and a host of other positive attributes. The rubber grip panels also help achieve a more tactile feel.
For all of our readers who may have already jumped on the P320 train with all of the variations SIG Sauer now has available, what do you think of these replacement frames from Mirzon? Is this something that you would be willing to put on your SIG? Are there additional upgrades you would like to see from Mirzon? Let us know all of your thoughts in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.
