American Defense Manufacturing have announced that Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, in Louisiana, have selected American Defense Mfg.’s .308 UIC10 rifle. What role the new rifles will have has not been announced but the rifle’s calibre suggests it may be used as a sharpshooter/marksman’s rifle.
Here’s American Defense Mfg.’s announcement in full:

For those that don't know, Jefferson parish is right across the river from New Orleans. They constantly get overflow crime coming across the bridge, plus the aligator and hog situation completely merit the purchase of .308 rifles. It is a swamp out there ya'll, literally and figuratively.
I like it. Good weapon platform. Good knock down potential.
