Featured Deals of the Week – 7/19/19

    Deals-of-the-Week-Header

It’s your boy Benjamin F coming at you pre-written with another Featured Deals of the Week. I am cutting it way too close to the publishing deadline this week, so I’m going to be really salty if any of these deals get sold out before Sunday. As always please leave a comment if you want to see more of any kind of deals and I will do my best to find one and bring it to the post.

    Glock 22 Gen3 Police Trade-in – $289.90

    Image Provided by Peak Firearms

    What the deal is:

Is it weird how much I like police trade-ins? They’re a total crapshoot, you can get someone’s holster queen that they fired twice a year at quals and otherwise never used, or one that got run ragged by someone who clearly put thousands of rounds downrange. Well, this particular buy is less of a crap-shoot. Peak Firearms lists them as “low round count,” and these Glocks do have night sights and come with one magazine.

    Why it’s a good deal:

I mean, where else are you going to get a Glock for less than $300? Barring, of course, the SW9VE which Hop reviewed here. And dollars to donuts I’d rather have a police trade-in G22 than an SW9VE.

    (Another) Police Trade-in S&W Model 64 .38 spl – $249.99

    What the deal is:

Alright, so I’m putting two police trade-ins in the same FDOTW post. Can you blame me? This is a beautiful old gun, and I have a sneaking suspicion more than a few TFB readers used to carry these on duty. Say what you will about old wheel guns, you can’t deny they’ve got incredible actions. The DA pull on these old 64s is buttery smooth, and the trigger breaks like a glass rod.

    Why it’s a good deal:

The market for old Model 64s isn’t particularly competitive, but the prices rapidly increase. If you browse GunBroker or Armslist used Model 64s rapidly reach $500 or more, so since these police trade-ins are going for $250 it’s a hard deal to pass up.

    PSA 10.5″ Carbine-Length Pistol Kit + 10 Pmags – $599.99

Image Provided by Palmetto State Armory

    What the deal is:

You know how everyone likes to joke about PSA using Gen2 PMAGs like packing peanuts? They’re clearly leaning into the joke on this one. That having been said, this is a pretty cool set. Everything you need for an AR build except a stripped lower, plus an optics set (front and rear irons and a red dot), plus 10 magazines just because.

    Why it’s a good deal:

I mean come on. Toss a $40 PSA lower into your cart and for $640 you get a solidly performing AR pistol, 10 PMags, and an optics set. That’s pretty hard value to beat.

Ruger 10/22 magazine, cleaning kit, target bundle – $24.99

    Image Provided by GunMag Warehouse

    What the deal is:

It’s exactly what it looks like. Two Ruger 10/22 clear 25-round magazines, a 10/22 cleaning kit, and a self-healing rimfire spinner target. The magazines have metal feed lips but polymer bodies, for anyone who like me was concerned on first glance. The cleaning kit comes with rod, brush, mop, patches, cleaner, and oil. The target is a target.

    Why it’s a good deal:

This is quite a bit of value for $25. I mean, GunMag Warehouse is selling just one of these Champion 10/22 mags for $13 a pop so all these goodies are basically free.

See you next time folks on Featured Deals of the Week.
