Reptilia RMR Mounting Options For 30mm Optics
It may seem counterintuitive to some shooters, but a backup reflex or red dot optic on top of a 1x variable optic does make sense. Competition shooters can transition between close and far targets without having take a hand off to move the magnification ring. Similarly, home defense setups can have optics with two zero distances. The Reptilia RMR mounting options give shooters the ability to put together the perfect setup for their intended uses. ill stick with my $20 45 degree offset back up iron sight set
my damn near 50 year old eyes can still shoot less than 2 moa to 100 yards with them on a 1 moa gun
I am currently in a low speed trial of this sort of thing--using a Burris Fast Fire on top of a Vortex scope on an AR.
In *my* experience you have to use a low mounted scope because otherwise the stack gets high enough that you lose cheek weld--and that makes harder to find the dot.
