Welcome everyone to the 15th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you missed any one of our other articles, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this gat a sweet deal or does it only have Fudd appeal? Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.
In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, found the Crown Royal themed Springfield Saint to be more sinful that saintlike.
I guess it truly doesn’t matter as this sinful Springfield Saint already has a good home (or so we assume), and I’m not advertising strange gats from GunBroker (like I usually do).
In this week’s edition of HGFC, I fly under the radar and see what the staff REALLY thinks about a freedom-themed rattle-can creation. I was told this mission had to be Secret, Top Secret, to maintain the integrity and standards we have here at HGFC. We can’t have anyone playing favorites.
So for this week’s HGFC, we have none other than James Reeves’ personal P94 on the chopping block. In true to form fashion, this rattle-can gat is for sale for $1,000. However, James has indicated that if someone should decide to purchase the P94, all proceeds will go to the Firearms Policy Coalition.
HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Independence Day Special
With only a price, and this photo, let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:
“Captain America’s Throw-Down Piece” – Pete
“I’ll pay one buck per star” – Eric B
“These colors don’t run… but they might bleed through the stencils.” – Doug E.
“Blue state Ruger” – Mike R.
“You’re a grand, old flag?…” – Rusty S.
“Old Glory is tired of your shenanigans” – Nick C.
“Red, White and Ew” – Matt M.
“I guess it was still as un-American as the competition, in black livery…” -Giorgio O.
“Hacksaw Jim Duggan wants his carry gun back.” -Adam S.
As it’s currently the 4th of July, and I have freedom related functions to attend, I’m going to go ahead and let James Reeves himself explain his creative process in this fun tutorial. Enjoy.
So what do you think? Is this Rattlecan Red White and Blue Ruger a Hot Gat or has James Reeves built some Fudd Crap? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to cast your vote and let us know if this freedom-themed Ruger is Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
