Browning has already lifted the veil off of their newly redesigned BPS shotguns for the upcoming year 2020 with more mindful features for hunting and shooting. One immediate improvement is the checkered grip surfaces on Walnut stock models and textured grip surfaces on their composite stocked counterparts. While the NEW Browning BPS shotguns look nearly identical to previous ones the difference is in the details. Browning shared these words on their website:
The BPS has been upgraded for 2020, but you get to see it now. Browning’s new BPS has a mix of a classic look with modern fit and handling. It starts with a new satin finished walnut stock, a matte blued barrel with a ventilated rib, as you would expect from a Browning. Then the stock has been slightly reconfigured to offer a faster, more natural feel. The Inflex recoil pad offers excellent comfort and the new checkering surfaces offer a superior grip. The trigger guard is slightly larger, offer an advantage when hunting with gloved hands.
There seems to be a very strong trend in shotguns to have larger features like the oversized trigger guard now present on the Browning BPS. As more die-hard hunters chase waterfowl and upland birds in crazier weather the need for easier to manipulate controls is a must; especially while wearing gloves. Some of the other features present specifically on the Black and Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades composite stock models can be read below:
- Larger Trigger Guard accommodates Gloved Shooting
- Inflex Recoil Pad & an Easy-to-Shorten Stock
- Easy Identification with Logo Grip Cap
- Integrated Eyelet for Sling Swivel
All of these New Browning BPS shotguns come with your standard set of 3 Invector-Plus choke tubes, are ambidextrous, and have a Top Tang Safety. The pricing for the various models, gauges, and chamber lengths can be read below as well. For all of our shotgunners in the audience, what do you think?
