HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Saint or Sinner

Welcome everyone to the 14th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you missed any one of our other articles, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this gat a sweet deal or simply just fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, found the REAL Midas muffler to be some golden fudd trash.

For the time being this fine firearm suppression device remains still for sale on GunBroker.

In this week’s edition of HGFC, we are cheating. We’re going to deviate from the norm and window shop a liquor-themed firearm featured on Springfield Armory’s Facebook page. We would have not considered this pistol for HGFC, but it is erroneously missing any wording indicating where someone should place their hands… something like a zone for your grips.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP?  Saint or Sinner

Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:

“For when you’re meeting your gun friends in the afternoon & you’re less savory friends at the strip club at night.” -Adam S.

    “Hot shat” -Matt M.

    “Oh super hot” -James Reeves

    “The tactical eggplant” -Mike R.

“I love the RISE trigger IN the SAINT”. -Tom R.

    “Omg. That’s awesome.” -Pete

Springfield Armory featured this firearm on their Facebook page with the caption “Check out the twist on this SAINT.”  The firearm’s creator appears to be a user by the name of Sam Schieuer who had this to say about the Saint.

Every company has their thing. Mine is putting people’s favorite booze on guns apparently.

Well, one thing is certain. This guy really loves Crown Royal and high-dollar Cerakote jobs. I don’t know if I should be upset or impressed at the amount of detail that was put into this Cerakote job. Upon closer inspection, it looks like he might have gone over budget on the build, as it doesn’t have the sights to match.

At the end of the day, it’s still a Springfield SAINT, and I’m sure the underlying gun probably shoots great. I can’t imagine your local RSO would be too thrilled about the paint job. Not to worry though, this gat is more likely to be shot near a bonfire or off a porch.

So what do you think?  Is this liquor themed Springfield SAINT a Hot Gat or has someone sinned building this Fudd Crap?  Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to cast your vote and let us know if this Springfield Saint is Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
