The Q Side Chick: Super Light Precision Remington 700 Chassis

    Side Chick

Are you looking for a Remington 700 chassis that is ultralight and includes all the features requested by top precision rifle shooters? Say no more. Q, of ‘The Fix’ fame, have just announced the release of the Side Chick, a sub 3 pound chassis for the 700 receiver footprint. Included are a fully adjustable folding stock, removable top rail, free-float MLOK handguard and the ability to swap AR15 style grips.

The Q Side Chick shares most of the features of The Fix rifle at almost half the cost (not including a receiver and barrel, obviously). Those of you looking to keep your current action and barrel can invest in a Side Chick, ditch your featureless wood stock and be ready to rock your next match. If you are looking for other manufacturer inlet options, Q only says “maybe”. With enough demand, I could see the Side Chick become available in other popular rifle setups.

The SIDE CHICK rifle chassis is a modular precision rifle chassis for short action Remington 700 actions and other third party actions using the Remington 700 footprint. The SIDE CHICK shares many of the same features as the THE FIX; a fully-adjustable side folding stock that locks the bolt handle, an aluminum center section, a free floating handguard, removable zero-MOA M1913 picatinny top rail, ambidextrous magazine release, and AR grip compatibility, all of which are constructed of highstrength glass filled nylon, stainless steel or clear anodized aircraft grade aluminum.
