For those who may be gearing up for western big game hunts this fall a new contender to the market is the Savage Arms 110 High Country. If you have been watching Savage Arms this last year you may have noticed that they are upgrading and re-doing all of their Model 110 rifles. This includes improvements on prior models and the introduction of a lot of new ones entirely. Many of them are specialty rifles or dedicated to a specific facet of shooting/hunting. The mission of the 110 High Country is long-range hunting. The specifications for this new offering can be read below as presented by Savage Arms:

Some of the more forward-thinking features are a threaded muzzle for potentially a silencer or even a muzzle brake for some of the larger calibers offered. Also, it does take a box magazine which is a nice convenience while hunting and multiple PVD coated surfaces in order to be less prone to rust in harsh elements.
