    SIG Sauer is known for producing solid metal framed firearms in an assortment of attractive finishes and their latest of the Spartan II Series is finally shipping out to firearm retailers. The Spartan II Series is available in their 1911 Full-Size and Carry, and the P238 and P938 Micro-Compacts.

    All of these pistols are hammer-fired and single-action-only (SAO) with a unique distressed coyote finish specific to SIG Sauer. All of them also feature custom engraved aluminum grips featuring the SIG SAUER Spartan helmet branding; an engraved, emblazoned slide with the Spartan Helmet; the classic expression “Molon Labe;” and SIGLITE Night Sights.     Sig Sauer Spartan II 1911 Full-Size .45 ACP

    The 1911 Spartan II Full-Size and Carry are available in .45 Auto and feature an ambi thumb-safety, accessory rail, skeletonized hammer and trigger with all black controls, and come with two 8-round magazines. The 1911 Full-Size specifications are as follows as presented by SIG Sauer:

    The Carry edition still carries over the same safety, rail, hammer, and controls as the Full-Size version. You simply have a scaled down barrel and slide length to, as the name implies, make it easier for everyday carry and concealment.     The Spartan II 238 Micro-Compact is available in .380 Auto and features an ambidextrous thumb-safety and comes with one 7-round steel magazine. While it is not a true 1911 design it shares much of the aesthetics and controls shooters would be familiar with making it an easy transition from their full-size counterparts. The 238 Micro-Compact specifications can be read below as presented by SIG Sauer:
