POTD: US Marines Execute Immediate Action Drills Exercise Platinum Ren 2019

Today’s POTD features a US Marine with the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division taking part in immediate action drills during exercise Platinum Ren at Fort Trondennes, Harstad, Norway, on May 13, 2019. Exercise Platinum Ren is a theater security cooperation training evolution held with the Norwegian KJK to sustain mission essential tasks in harsh operating environments and strengthen coalition partnerships. This Marine has an M4A1 with some added rail space, and a handstop for added C-clamping) ahead of his front sight. He’s also running an ELCAN Specter and a KAC QDSS NT4 suppressor. (Photo by Sgt.     Poor Marine. Some Sgt Major or SNCO is going to see that photo, and the only thing they'll notice is that he is not wearing his issued gloves and knee pads during a live fire exercise. Guarantee that Marine is getting sh!!! from someone in his chain of command right now because he is in a photo and not wearing the proper PPE. Never-mind the fact that he has the proper IA drill kneeling stance and is probably hitting his target with every shot. Photos w/o proper PPE always bites you in the rear. Come on Firearm Blog, don't throw Marines under the bus with photo's like that, you know better! Lol
