The Firearm Blog (TFB) was in attendance for the American Suppressor Association’s (ASA) Media Shoot for NRAAM 2019 and we got a closer look at their NEW Radiant 762 silencer! This was one of the must-see silencers that appeared at the ASA Media Shoot because of its modularity as well as its diminutive length and weight.

The Rugged Suppressor’s Radiant 762 with their “Adapt Modular Technology” punches in at an MSRP of $1,300 with a bevy of intricate details to persuade you with. Not only can the overall size of it be changed by hand (no tools required), but you can also switch out the front caps to make it suit your given caliber.

    • Caliber: 7.62mm rated up to .300 Remington Ultra Magnum (.300 RUM) & Full-Auto
    • Diameter: 1.5” | Standard Length: 7.5″ | Short Length: 5.1″
    • Standard Weight: 12.5 Ounces | Short Weight: 9.4 Ounces
    • Cerakote Finish
    • Stellite™ Baffle Core | Tube & Mount Grade 5 Titanium
    • Front Cap Teflon Impregnated Titanium Anodize

The decibel levels you should expect to experience in its full length configuration with a .308 Win would be 131 dB while in its compact K configuration it would be slightly more at 138. Another characteristic about the Radiant 762 shooters can appreciate is the Dual Taper Locking System.

What this essentially does is give you a great lock-up of your silencer so you do not need to worry about it coming loose. Rugged Suppressors does a terrific job of elaborating this more thoroughly:

The Dual Taper Mount’s first taper creates a gas seal and concentric lock up, for repeatable return to zero and keeps your threads carbon free. The rear taper creates a friction lock to keep your suppressor where it should be, on your rifle. The No Go/Go Gauge will give you confirmation that your suppressor is properly attached, for a surprise free shooting experience.

The Dual Taper Locking System is kind of the cherry on top feature of this silencer though. The most exciting part is its ability to easily dis-asemble into a shorter configuration and switch out front caps for your desired caliber. Once again, the Radiant 762 retails for $1,300 and as with all of Rugged Suppressors’ silencers, you are also backed by their Unconditional Lifetime Warranty.

So while there are many silencers currently on the market that do a god job, what do you think of this one from Rugged Suppressors? Is this something that you would be willing to throw yourself down the NFA gauntlet and buy? Let us know all of your thoughts in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.
