HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Gunisher Custom Edition

Welcome everyone to the seventh edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you missed any one of our other articles, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this a sweet gun or something a Fudd would build for fun?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, found the mutilated M1941 to be over-painted fudd crap – a shocking result…

The one of a kind M1941 Johnson Rifle remains for sale on GunBroker while it awaits a rescue new home.

In this week’s edition, we look at a comic book take on a Glock 17.  As always, this gun is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $1,750 Buy It Now.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP?  Gunisher Custom Edition

Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:

“If you buy this GLOCK, you deserve to be punished. You bad, bad boy.” – Pete

“Maybe best the suicide girl to save Zev.” – Giorgio O.

“If you buy this, you better pray that this gun is never marked as exhibit A” – James Reeves

“You better hope your mum doesn’t find this under your bed with your collection of gentleman’s literature.” – Matt M.

“This pistol will be concealed under a waifu pillow.” – Rusty S.

“Nothing says “I am lonely, and have never been with a women”, more than this…..THING.” – Mike R.

“I thought Frank had a simpler taste than that.” -Doug E

    “Incoming Disney lawsuit in 3… 2… 1…” – Benjamin F.

Selling this over-the-top custom Glock is the aptly named Stock Guns Suck Custom Firearms, located in Tomball Texas. Let’s see what they had to say about this heavily modified Glock 17.

Welcome to another Custom Build by SGS Custom Firearms LLC – Please visit our Instagram page @stock_guns_suck or our website at www.stockgunssuck.com to see additional pictures and videos of this gun being made.

SGS Custom Firearms builds all our guns starting with just a stripped Glock frame – we do this so that we can build the gun using only what we feel are the best parts available. We do all design, cerakote, laser engraving, modifications and stippling in house to ensure that everything is to perfection – we would not have it any other way.

This is one of our favorite designs and we are very proud of the craftsmanship and results – the gun shown in the pictures is our Store display – we have all the needed parts in stock and the gun will be made as ordered – once payment is received gun will be completed and shipped to your FFL within 15 business days.

The Gun you receive will be exactly as seen in the pictures or even better. This listing is for a Glock 17 Gen 4 we have named “Punisher”. We have tried to add our touches to the Character Frank Castle and what we feel his Glock would look like if he carried one, which he should! The frame has been completely reworked and received trigger guard undercuts and what we like to call “Gas Pedals” on each side of the frame – we have laser engraved our version of “Punisher” onto each side of the frame beforehand stippling.

The gun has accessories of a Zev Tech DragonFly Slide with optic cut for a Trijicon RMR – Zev Tech +5 Magazine Extension – Zev Tech Pro Plus Magwell – Zev Tech Curved Face Trigger and Trigger Bar – Zev Tech Co-witness Sight Set – Zev Tech Match Grade Threaded Barrel – Upgraded Stainless Steel Guide Rod – Zev Tech Competition Internals – Zev Tech Polished Skeletonized Striker – Zev Tech Polished Safety Plunger – Zev Tech Polished Trigger Bar – Zev Tech Polished Connector – Zev Tech Spring – Zev Tech Comp. The Gun is brand new and has never been fired, due to starting the build as a stripped frame gun comes with one 22 round magazine – additional magazines and extensions can be added to purchase at an additional cost – Gun comes in a factory Glock hard case.

As you might have gathered, this gun is a tricked out Zev Glock with a paint job and some over the top accessories. First and foremost being the compensator, that you probably don’t need. These are really good for punishing neighboring shooters while at the range. If you really want a 9mm competition Glock, just start with a G34.

What is most confusing is the choice of firearm for this build. The Punisher is almost always seen using a 1911 as his sidearm. As a matter of fact, in none of the movies or TV shows does his character use a Glock 17. In the 2004 film “The Punisher” he can be seen loading a Glock 17 but never using it.

Usually, I would be willing to overlook these little details.  However, the logo on the rear of the slide is an exact copy of the logo from the Netflix series. The gun seems oddly specific to a series where it saw little use.

There are some parts of this gun that do find appealing.  Features like an RMR cutout and raised iron sights would make this a fun gun to shoot at the range.  That is, while you’re not getting strange or angry looks from neighboring shooters.

One thing about this gun is very clear.  It’s probably one of the worst guns you could choose to use for self-defense.

As James Reeves pointed out, this is the last gun you would want to have presented in front of a Jury. Fake or not, you’re going to have a tough time explaining those 25 notches on the grip of your VERY custom Glock.

So what do you think?  Is this Gunisher Glock a Hot Gat or some Netflix binge watcher’s Fudd Crap?  Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to cast your vote and let us know if this Gunisher Custom is Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
