Every once in a while when you are mindlessly thumbing through your newsfeed on Facebook you come across something extraordinary! For me recently, that extraordinary thing came in the form of Malt Liquor on the side of a Hi-Point. A small custom shop named Autonomous Armory delivered a special paint job to one of their recent customers who wanted to jazz up their Hi-Point .380 ACP pistol.

How the idea came about, I personally do not know, but it might have been something like this: “Autonomous Armory, I want people to think I live in a van down by the river. Do you think you can hook me up?” “Say no more fam, I got you.” And with a conversation that was potentially as legendary as that, we have before us a “Colt 45 Malt Liquor” paint job (Cerakote job?) on a Hi-Point pistol.

What really takes the cake on this truly one-of-a-kind Hi-Point pistol is not only the custom finish on the pistol, but the matching holster. The custom holster came from another small, but creative company dubbed Hater Holsters. Any Malt Liquor, whether in bottle or pistol form, would not be complete without a brown paper bag, right? So that is exactly what Hater Holsters did. They made a custom fit holster with a Brown Paper Bag color job to match.

I would have so many questions for the person who owns this pistol and what they are doing with it. Maybe Hater Holsters or Autonomous Armory or the actual owner will chime in through the Comments section.

    • Is this going on a mantle in your man cave?
    • Do you carry this around your local gun club for laughs?
    • Is this seriously your everyday carry pistol?
    • How much did it cost for this pimp-tastic finish?

Nonetheless, what do you guys and gals think? Would you put perhaps a Busch latte finish on your pistol? Something else? Let us know your thoughts in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.
