A NEW Form of Stun Gun: Wattozz Wireless Electroshock Weapon

    wattozz

When it comes to stun guns and similar less-lethal products, they all are very similar in their design that direct contact has to be made. Whether that is through wired projectiles that need to hit their mark or you openly walk up to an individual and touch them with two probes. In either scenario, there is significant room for problems. For one, you have to be close to the threat you wish to incapacitate which is something law enforcement does not particularly like (who can blame them, I would not want to be close either). All that changes with Wattozz.

Wattozz is a wireless electroshock weapon. No longer are wired probes required that can tangle or be wrecked. There is no gas or gunpowder. The user can adjust the shock duration to a time period of their choosing. In fact, it is the world’s first and only remote-controlled wireless electroshock device. A lengthy list of all of the features and benefits that the Wattozz has to offer can be read below as presented by Albayrak Group, the manufacturers of the product:

    • Remote Controlled Wireless Projectiles
    • Double shot in a row feature
    • Built-in HD Camera with Anti-Vibration System
    • High Trigger Sensitivity
    • Non Gunpowder and Gas-less Firing System
    • Silent Firing System
    • Built-in Target Laser (red or green) and Night Flash Light

    • Compact Design
    • Ergonomic Handle
    • Direct Contact Mode
    • 3 Different Electroshock Levels Adjustable to Low, Medium and High
    • Rechargeable Battery
    • Optional Human Voice Warning System
    • Optional Dataport Data Information System

The MSRP of this product is at a pretty steep $1,299 per unit. Even at that dollar amount, there have been over 40 countries that have signed on to use this new product. The CEO of Albayrak Group, Sertan Aycicek, had these words to share regarding future projects surrounding this technology applied into other areas:

The officers from UK Home Office have visited Albayraklar Company and they impressed by our wireless projectile technology and they also asked us to produce electroshock rifle with 35 meters shooting range. We are going to complete producing and put the rifle up for sale in three months.

For some of our readers in the audience who may be current or former law enforcement/military, what do you think of this product? Is this something that you think fills a void and would be of benefit to departments in the United States? Or not so much? Let us know your thoughts in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.

UPDATE 04/16/2019: TFB has been contacted by representatives of the National Police Chief Council Less Lethal Secretariat… Home Office Science and Technology Group… and Defence Science Technology Laboratory… They have stated that they were only given a verbal briefing on the weapons and did not see any technology demonstrated and have not been given technical specifications on the systems they asked for.  Therefore they cannot offer an opinion as to whether the technology actually works or if indeed law enforcement agencies would consider it a less lethal option.

My personal apologies as the author of this article for not correctly conveying this technology during the original writing of this article.
