New Brownells 10/22 Bolt Assembly

Within the last year, Brownells has been releasing a number of different parts for the ever-popular Ruger 10/22 rimfire rifle. Namely, they started making the BRN-22 10/22 receivers which are now available in many different flavors – railed or drilled and tapped, a takedown version, barreled receivers etc. Recently, the company added another product to their line of 10/22 parts – the Ruger 10/22 bolt assembly.

Below you can find the description of Brownells 10/22 bolt assembly quoted from the company’s website:

A Brownells BRN-22™ without our Ruger® 10/22®-compatible complete bolt assembly inside is like… building a Ferrari race car and putting a Lamborghini engine in it. Results can be very good, but some of us just prefer the outside and what’s inside to match!

Truth is, we’re pretty proud of our 10/22® bolt assembly because it’s got all the little extras that serious rimfire drivers demand: machined from premium-grade stainless steel billet, a fully machined hardened steel firing pin, bronze extractor, optional matte silver or tough black Nitride finish…. And best of all, it’s a drop-in part. Pair it up with your choice of bolt charging handle and bolt stop pin, insert all three in the receiver, and you are good to go!

Regardless of which “car” you install it in – BRN-22™ or a Ruger® factory rifle – our 10/22® bolt assembly will give you superb performance, excellent reliability, and a long service life.

Hmmm … I would say something like Volquartsen is comparable to a Ferrari or Lamborghini of the rimfire firearms’ world.

Here is also a Brownells video showing this new product.

As mentioned in the video, the Brownells 10/22 bolt assembly is available in matte stainless steel or black nitrided finish options. It is listed on the company’s website at a price point of $99.99. The price is identical for both finish options.
