Falke and Schmeisser are sister companies and that is the reason why they were exhibiting in the same booth at SHOT Show 2019. This German optics manufacturer brought to the show their new Falke LE Gen 2 reflex sight. Let’s see what features it has.
The Falke LE comes with an integrated QD Picatinny rail mount. If the sight is removed from the weapon, it will go into a stand by mode and reactivate once it is attached back. If it is stored for more than two hours, the sight will completely shut off. It does have a brightness setting memory and once turned on again, it will have the brightness level set before it was switched off.
According to the manufacturer, “the coated LED lens is similar to the sapphire glass used in high-grade Swiss watches“. They also claim that the sight is parallax-free thanks to the high-quality lens. Falke LE also comes with a kill flash. The electronics are protected in a sealed metal housing which makes it waterproof to up to 10 meters depth.
Below you can also find the tech specs of Falke LE sight (quoted from the manufacturer’s website).

I played a little bit with this sight at SHOT Show. It looks and feels solid and well made, but that’s about all I can tell without actually testing it. Talking about testing, here is a video where Moritz of Low Ready Media torture tests the Falke LE reflex sight.
The Falke LE reflex sight will be available in the US market in late Spring 2019. It should have an MSRP of around $500 – $550. It will ship in a plastic case as shown in the image below.
The exclusive US distributor of this sight will be Blue Line Solutions.
