New N-Vision Optics HALO Thermal Scopes and binoculars

This is N-Vision Optics‘ (USA) first appearance here at TFB.

They will be a SHOT Show displaying their latest additions to their thermal product line: HALO Thermal Scopes and ATLAS Thermal Binocular with a 25mm lens.

Their N-Vision Optics HALO Thermal Scopes use a 12 micron 640 x 480 thermal sensors said to offer outstanding image clarity and extended detection ranges.

There are two models of the HALO Thermal Scopes: HALO and HALO-LR (Long Range).

The normal HALO Thermal Scope is a lightweight, compact, wide field of view thermal scope designed for short to medium range shooting.

The HALO-LR Thermal Scope takes everything featured in the HALO to the next level for medium to long range shooting.

    From the N-Vision Product Page:

The N-Vision Optics HALO Thermal Scope comes equipped with state of the art 12 micron 640 x 480 thermal sensors offering outstanding image clarity and extended detection ranges. Built with a rugged composite housing and high end anti-reflective (AR) coated, high speed germanium optics, HALO Thermal Scope is the ultimate solution for the serious hunter, operator, or shooting enthusiast.

HALO Thermal Scope features long lasting battery life, a waterproof housing, 60Hz refresh rate, digital zoom, and most impressively, unique Region of Interest (ROI) Optimization that enhances image clarity at your point of aim. Unlike comparable thermal scopes, HALO Thermal Scope allows the user to pre-set the desired size of interest in ¼, ½, or full screen modes. Additionally, HALO Thermal Scope supports four unique reticles allowing shooters to customize their shoot by saving multiple reticle options and zeroes. HALO Thermal Scope also provides four advanced polarity modes: white hot, black hot, black edge detect, and white edge detect.

HALO Thermal Scope is a lightweight, compact, wide field of view thermal scope designed for short to medium range shooting. Weighing in at only 480g, HALO Thermal Scope features a 25mm F1.1 objective lens with a wide 18° x 14° field of view. HALO is the perfect thermal scope for mid-range target engagement and scanning.

    • Features:
    • 640 X 480, 12 micron thermal core
    •  25mm Objective lens for wider field of view
    • Region of Interest (ROI) Optimization
    • 4 Advanced Polarity Modes
    • Downloadable Photo and Video
    • 60 Hz Refresh Rate
    • Multiple Reticle Options

There is also a HALO-LR (picture below) Long Range with a 50mm F1.2 objective lens (instead of 25 mm as above) offering man-sized thermal detection ranges of over a mile. The weight is 800 g,This is the choice for the long distance shooter.

In addition to the introduction of the HALO Thermal Scope they also expand their ATLAS Thermal Binocular line. ATLAS is now available in both 50mm and 25mm configurations.

ATLAS 25mm builds on the popular ATLAS 50mm Thermal Binocular as a powerful tool for handheld thermal detection and scanning. ATLAS 25mm Thermal Binocular is equipped with the same features as ATLAS 50mm, but is built with a 25mm F1.1 germanium objective lens providing a wide 18°x14° field of view allowing for increased situational awareness and scanning capabilities.

    ATLAS Thermal Binocular (25 mm)

ATLAS is the first commercially available thermal binocular based on 12-micron technology. Lightweight and fully waterproof, the N-Vision Optics ATLAS Thermal Binocular is extremely robust and capable. Constructed with durable composite plastics, it is significantly smaller in size and weight in comparison to other thermal binoculars on the market.

ATLAS delivers a high-resolution thermal image and extended detection, recognition, and identification ranges in even the most challenging environmental conditions.

ATLAS is the first choice for search and rescue professionals, wildlife observers, hunters, sailors, and many others who demand only the best equipment.

ATLAS 25mm builds on the popular ATLAS 50mm Thermal Binocular as a powerful tool for handheld thermal detection and scanning. ATLAS 25mm  is built with a 25mm F1.1 germanium objective lens providing a wide 18° x 14° field of view allowing for increased situational awareness and scanning capabilities.

    • Features:
    • 640X480, 12 micron thermal core
    • Wide 18° x 14° field of view
    • Internal memory for image capture
