Over the past few years a bunch of companies have been releasing parts to build Roland Special Glocks, what’s that? It’s what all the gun fighters are building these days. RMR cut slides, threaded barrels and flared magwells. Well that trend has moved onto other pistols, even the 1911 is getting in on the action. Ed Brown and ZEV Technologies teamed up to produce something similar with their new line of premium custom 1911s.

The collaboration between the high end 1911 maker and the Glock parts specialist was actually announced last year. This year they have two more offerings in 9mm that will only be available in 2019.

Incredibly sophisticated slide cuts show off both ZEV’s innovative designs, and Ed Brown’s state-of-the-art custom machining ability. Just a few of the highlights include: 9mm Commander SR barrel with ZEV dimples, ZEV “Orion” slide cuts package, Alien forestrap and housing, lightrail with scallops, Trijicon RMR, match ambi, one-piece blended magwell, recessed slide stop w/ serrated pin, and G4 black coating finish out this show-stopping masterpiece of functional artistic craftsmanship.

As with all Ed Brown 1911’s, it is hand-fit with fully machined parts, and backed by our Lifetime Warranty.

The FX-ZEV19-RMR-9 (seen above) will feature ZEV “Orion” slide cuts, a Trijicon RMR and tall night sights, a scalloped frame, a 4.25″ 9mm threaded barrel complete with ZEV dimples and a ZEV thread protector. It weights in at 41oz and will have an MSRP of $4,995.

The other 1911 they’ve developed is the FX-ZEV19-9 (seen above). It will also have a 9mm 4.25″ Commander slide with the same cuts. However it won’t have a threaded barrel or RMR. Instead it will include a non-threaded ZEV SR dimpled barrel and EVO U-notch rear sight and an orange HD XR front sight. It weights in at 37oz and will have an MSRP of $3,995. Both 1911s also include a lifetime warranty from Ed Brown.
