[SHOT 2019] Kel-Tec KS7 and CP33 Both Extended!

Kel-Tec has come out with two new firearms for Shot Show 2019. The CP33 and the KS7.

    KS7

The KS7 is an updated version of the KSG but it is single tube. This makes the KS7 about half the weight of the KSG. Kel-Tec also made the pump action smoother. The KSG requires an aggressive stroke. Anything less will result in malfunctions. The KS7 solved that problem.

The KS7 only weighs 5.9lbs and can hold 7+1 2&3/4” shells. The fore grip has been redesigned with integrated hand stops and there are MLOK slots all over for adding accessories.

The KS7 will be threaded for choked and suppressors like the KSG. One huge design change is partially based on the single tube. Now you can add tube extensions. I want to see a KS7 with an XRail. Kel-Tec has a proof of concept extended KS7. 28” barrel with a +3rd extension.

    Kel-Tec CP33

The CP33 is a pseudo pistol variant of the CMR-30. However it is chambered in .22LR and the magazine has been modified to hold 33 rds of .22LR.

Unlike the CMR-30, the CP33 sports a rear charging handle. Somewhat like an MP7.

The the magazine is transparent with large witness holes.

At the Shot Show booth they tease with a prototype +17rd extension. Making the CP33 rd magazine hold an entire box of .22lr. Yes, all 50 rds.

They are planning on offering the magazine extension in the future but it won’t work with the PMR-30 magazines.

Just like the CMR-30 the receiver is too narrow to allow accessory rails on the side. But the CP33 is going to have a single MLOK slot along the below the barrel.

The barrel is threaded 1/2×28 and features a long top rail with integrated fiber optic sights.
