[SHOT 2019] Yankee Hill Machine MARC Chassis And Turbo K Silencer

    Marc

I’ll start off the visit to my friends at Yankee Hill Machine with a caveat you’ve heard before: my long range shooting consists of everything up to and including 100 yards. So let’s do the 50K foot overview of YHM’s new MARC chassis, then we’ll work on getting one into the hands of a long range specialist here at TFB.

Yankee Hill has always provided shooters with quality gear at affordable prices. And the MARC appears to be no different. Starting at $499 with optional rail and stock mounting options, shooters are provided with a  a light and stable platform for Remington and Savage bolt guns (other manufacturers are coming). Lefties take note: the MARC is fully ambidextrous.

Swinging around to a topic I can actually discuss, Yankee Hill also just introduced the Turbo K, a pint-sized version of their popular Turbo silencer. With a small footprint, direct thread and QD mounts included and and an MSRP of just over $450, the Turbo K is a great package.

Specifications, details and pricing can be found below.

As a reminder, we have reviews of YHM’s new Resonator, Ultimate Top End and full sized Turbo are coming soon to TFB’s Silencer Saturday.

YHM® is proud to announce our first entry into the world of bolt-action rifles with the MARC™ Sport chassis.

Constructed of 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type III Class 2 hardcoat anodize, the MARC™ Sport chassis is lightweight and durable. Available for Remington and Savage platforms in both short action and long actions. It features an integrated thumb rest and “V” bedding for increased comfort and accuracy. Designed for either left or right handed operation in one design. The provided block-off plate seamlessly fills the unused bolt handle cutout.

The MARC™ Sport comes with your choice of either an A2 or carbine stock adapter and both adapters are available separately if your needs ever change. The MARC™ Sport chassis accepts AICS pattern magazines and features an ambidextrous magazine catch with a melonite finish. Our optional M-Lok® Handguard (YHM-1530-A) and ARCA Rail (YHM-1535-A) are available separately to add even more versatility to your rifle. At only $499 for the chassis and your choice of stock adapter, this is one not to miss!

    YHM TURBO K – $465

The new Turbo® K utilizes a tubeless design made from heat treated 17-4 stainless steel along with a heat treated 718 Inconel® blast baffle. The combination of these materials allows the suppressor to be full auto rated and designed for rigorous use. The blast chamber of the Turbo® K is threaded to the popular 1-3/8”-24 thread which allows it to utilize many available mounting options currently on the market.

The overall length measures 4.9” when in the direct thread configuration and weighs in at 10.5 oz. When using YHM’s Q.D. adapter, the overall length is 5.5” and weights in at 11.7 oz. Having an average sound pressure level of 138dB on a 16” AR shooting 55 grain ammo, the Turbo® K is within the hearing safe threshold of 140 dB.

The Turbo® K is built with the same care, quality, and attention to detail that has defined the YHM® brand for generations. With an MSRP of $465 (which includes both direct thread and Q.D. mounts), the Turbo® K was created to supply the modern suppressor community with a full-featured suppressor at an affordable price.

The TURBO® K ships with a YHM-3102-28A mount, Q,D. adapter and 1/2”-28 direct thread adapter. It will fit all YHM-5M2 mounts.
