Springfield Armory has announced a NEW iteration of their SAINT AR-15 leading into SHOT Show 2019! The unveiling of the SAINT Victor is a new tier within the SAINT family of rifles and pistols that is meant to be a cut above. There are 5 different configurations: 5.56 SBR (Short-Barreled Rifle), 5.56 AR-15 Pistol, 300 BLK AR-15 Pistol, 5.56 Rifle, and a 5.56 California-compliant rifle as well.

Springfield Armory has sought to engineer a defensive firearm that is prepared for deployment immediately out-of-the-box. The SAINT Victor cashes in on that tall ask by blending familiar controls, thoughtful handling, and premium components proprietary to Springfield Armory alone. We will be covering all 5 of the newly released configurations in the coming days at SHOT Show, but for now we will quickly get you acquainted with all of them.

If you are familiar with the Springfield Armory SAINT Free Float rifle, the New SAINT Victor rifle lends a lot of traits from its predecessor. The SAINT Victor rifle retains all of the Bravo Company furniture including the trigger guard, pistol grip, and buttstock. It is also the same weight, length, and twist rate (1 in 8″ twist). The differentiating and upgraded traits are as follows:

• Enhanced Nickel-Boron Coated Single-Stage Flat Trigger
• 15″ M-LOK Aluminum Free-Float w/ SA Locking Tabs & Smooth Top
• Quick-Detach (QD) End-Plate
• Enhanced M16, Magnetic-Particle Tested (MPT), 9310 Steel Bolt-Carrier Group w/ Melonite Finish
• MSRP $1,073

The biggest thing to key in on this rifle is the suggested price. The original SAINT Free Float was a great value at $1,049 and for only $24 more you get 5 upgraded components in the SAINT Victor. All indications point that this could be Springfield’s new best selling firearm within the SAINT lineage.

This variant of the SAINT Victor receives similar upgrades in its internal hardware as the first with some additional California-compliant pieces to legally venture into the Golden State. Those improvements and extra measures can be read below:

Once again, similar to the first SAINT Victor you are looking at a much more refined rifle at an even lower price point. The SAINT Victor Cali-approved edition is $62 cheaper than the SAINT Free Float Cali-compliant model. That is tremendous news for our brothers and sisters in that severely-restricted state.

The Springfield Armory SAINT Victor SBR is the one new offering that retains all of its original counterpart’s components, fit, and finish. For those wishing to dip their toes into NFA waters with an SBR they can do it under the banner of the SAINT Victor. The current MSRP is benchmarked at $1,073. The Springfield Armory SAINT Victor Pistol is being rolled out in the two AR-15 fan favorite calibers of 5.56 NATO and 300 BLK. Both of these new configurations hold true to much of the build list from their predecessors, but they do receive two valuable upgrades.

• Enhanced M16, Magnetic-Particle Tested (MPT), 9310 Steel Bolt-Carrier Group w/ Melonite Finish
• MSRP $1,015

While the MSRP is $26 higher than previous SAINT Pistols, you are receiving significantly more than that in the improvement of the trigger and BCG. With more and more consumers choosing to go the route of an AR-15 Pistol versus forking over $200 to the NFA for an SBR, these enhanced SAINT Pistols from Springfield Armory could be a hot sell for 2019.
