Weekly Deals Roundup: Receiver Sets, Bolt-Action Pistol, M&P Shield 9mm, Remington Squeeg-E, and Jericho 941 45 ACP

Thanks for reading folks, welcome to the first deals post of 2019! For all twelve of you that read this with any regularity, I missed last week’s post because I was moving into my new apartment. Without any further ado, the deals.

certain Aero precision receiver sets – 15% off

    Image Provided by Aero Precision

    What the deal is:

Aero Precision’s M4 and AR15 receiver sets include a lower receiver and a upper receiver in the color of your choice. All of the M4E1 receiver sets have a set of threaded parts. These include a threaded upper receiver and a threaded bolt catch roll pin. In addition there is an upper tension screw and a picatinny rail. However, AR15 receiver sets do not (according to Aero’s listing) come with the same bonuses. Both types of receiver set are stripped lowers, making them good for a totally custom build.

    Why it’s a good deal:

After adding an Anodized Black, FDE Cerakote, or Tungsten Cerakote receiver set to your cart an automatic 15% will be taken off the total. Aero Precision is well known for the quality parts and rifles they put out, and 15% off the top isn’t a bad deal. While it’s not something to run screaming home about, but it’s something for anyone who’s thinking about starting a new build.

    Crickett ksa 793 in 22wmr – $135.99

    What the deal is:

I think everybody reading this knows there are zero practical applications for this rifle. If you need a pistol, you need a pistol. Similarly, if you need a varmint rifle, you need a varmint rifle. This handgun is somehow both and neither. As a result, you can’t really use it to kill varmints, and I certainly don’t recommend this as a carry piece. That said, according to reviews online this is a blast to shoot. Interestingly, cycling the bolt, loading a round, and readying the firing pin are all separate actions. This gun definitely made the list as a “huh?” piece, but I think it’s worth sharing.

    Why it’s a good deal:

In honesty, because it’d make a great starter handgun for a child, as well as a fun plinker for mom and dad. It’s also just barely priced above a Hi-Point, and I mean, come on. If you’d buy a Hi-Point C9 for $140 or thereabouts, this isn’t a crazy price for a neat little toy.

    Smith & wesson M&p shield 9mm – $249.99

Image Provided by Palmetto State Armory

    What the deal is:

It’s a Shield 9mm, and it’s not the 2.0. There’s not much else to say about it really. It’s a concealable handgun chambered in the ever popular 9×19, it takes 7+1 rounds or 8+1 with a pinky rest magazine. Also, this model does include the thumb safety, which for some people is a must-have and for some people is a total cold shower. The trigger breaks at approximately 6.5 lbs., it’s 6.1″ long, just under 1″ wide, stands 4.6″ tall, and weighs 19 ounces. It goes bang when you pull the trigger.

    Why it’s a good deal:

Palmetto State Armory (I know, I know), is selling these for $249.99 a pop. Generally speaking these retail for around $275, $300. I’ve seen them for as high as $350, but that’s on the extreme end. If you’re looking for an inexpensive carry handgun that is reliable and eminently concealable, this is a good buy.

Remington Squeeg-E Operator Field Cleaning System – $12.99

    Image Provided by GunMag Warehouse

    What the deal is:

Remington’s Squeeg-E Operator Field Cleaning System (that was a mouthful) is an “anytime, anywhere” gun cleaning kit. It comes in an M.O.L.L.E carrying case, and when zipped up measures a mere 8″x5″x1″. In the case is a 0.17mm gas tube brush and a universal bore brush with Squeeg-E coverings for each caliber from 22LR up to 45ACP and a variety of rifle and handgun calibers in between. The kit also includes a universal cable, a handgun cleaning rod and T-handle, a scope lens pen, a brass pin punch, a nylon brush, and an ounce of Remington oil.

    Why it’s a good deal:

The kit was originally priced at $59.99, and is now on sale for $12.99, saving you 78%. Street price this is for sale on Amazon right now for $32.99. I did see one website offering it for $14.99, but that still makes this price the lowest that I’m able to find for this kit.

    IWI Jericho 941 da/sa .45 acp – $491.99 when added to cart

    Image Provided by Gun Pro

    What the deal is:

The Jericho 941 is a mid-sized handgun with a steel-frame, and in this case is chambered in .45 ACP. The Jericho is a fun little gun, it’s technically a clone of a clone, being an Israeli clone of the CZ-75 and built using parts supplied by Tangfolio (an Italian arms manufacturer) who were making their own CZ-75 clones. The 941 has adjustable sights, a thumb safety, and is a DA/SA gun. It’s definitely not a light-weight carry piece, clocking in at 36 ounces (2.25 pounds!) but all of that weight helps with recoil absorption, so it comes down to personal preference whether or not this would be a good carry pistol.

    Why it’s a good deal:

When added to your cart the price drops from $549 to $491.99, savings of just over $50. The street price of these hovers right around $550 as far as I’ve seen, making this a good deal if you’re in the market for a DA/SA 45 ACP steel-framed handgun.
