FightLite MXR – Multi-caliber, Multi-magazine Platform

FightLite Industries, a division of ARES Defense Systems, Inc., will be releasing a multi-caliber platform called the MXR.

Yes, that means you can change the barrel – on a user level without tools – to .22LR, 9mm, .357 Sig, .40 S&W, 10mm, 45ACP and FN 5.7 x 28mm.

But what about magazines you ask? The MXR can be converted to enable common pistol magazines, for instance made by Glock, Sig, Beretta, CZ, S&W etc.

The end of the barrel is threaded to accommodate suppressors (for instance).

The FightLite MXR will be available in pistol, carbine and select-fire submachine gun configurations.

I hope they will have this firearm ready for the people going to the SHOT Show Range Day, as it looks like a blast to shoot.

“MXR…One Weapon, ANY Mission!”

Pretty good news so far for any firearm’s enthusiast. So what about the price? Unobtainable?

We wish we could tell you more about how to switch barrels, magazines and so on but this is the information we have at the time.

Judging by the picture it looks like it is using AR15 compatible triggers and furniture.

At the time of writing the MXR was not yet on the FightLite homepage:

The MSRP starts at $799, so TFB is very curious about our reader’s opinions about the FightLite MXR. Please tell us in the comments below.
