Just like the Svarog rifle that we talked about a couple of weeks ago, Saiga-9 Yarovit PCC is also named after a Slavic deity. This 9mm carbine is built by Kalashnikov Concern‘s custom shop called LOT (ЛОТ (Лаборатория Оружейного Тюнинга) – an abbreviation that stands for “firearms tuning laboratory). Let’s see what divine features Yarovit has.

Being based on a Saiga-9 PCC, Yarovit is a blowback operated firearm chambered in 9x19mm Luger. This competition carbine features a chrome lined 14.4″ (367mm) barrel with roughly 1:10″ twist rate (1:250mm). The muzzle thread pitch is metric 16×1. The barrel is free floated thanks to the carbon fiber handguard.

The gun comes with a large muzzle raize compensator made by a local company called Hartman. This muzzle device has quite an interesting design. It has three large ports facing upwards, a set of slots facing to the right and a non-ported left and bottom sides. Such a design should really efficiently keep the muzzle still by pushing it down and left.

Just like the Svarog, Yarovit also features a Krebs style safety selector lever with an index finger extension and a cutout to use the selector as a bolt catch. The rifle also has an ambidextrous charging handle. On the right side, it is a standard pattern charging handle and there is a tubular fluted and extended charging handle on the left side of the gun.

The magazine well portion is upgraded with a pretty large extended and flared magwell that will help to guide the magazines into the gun thus speeding up the reloading process. The hinged top cover features a Picatinny rail section. The AR-15 stock adapter is an elevated one that allows having a proper cheek weld with the mounted optics. Apparently, this KC custom shop gun also comes with a FAB Defense stock.

Overall, this rig weighs 3.6 kilograms (about 8 lbs). It is available on the local Russian market for the exact same amount of Russian rubles as the Svarog – 89,990 RUB (about $1,340).
