Drumroll…..And the winner for the second set was the 6.5 Grendel Pistol Build by DJ with 32% of the votes (I’ve noticed that the votes are getting much closer; I’m assuming because the individual builds appeal to some segments of all of you. It could also just be coincidence…). The randomly picked winning voter was Ryan M.

DJ will receive a gift card to Brownells (and be entered in the BOTY) and Ryan M will get a small amount of swag. It pays to play… 😉

Keep the submissions coming in!

Isn't the whole point of the 6.5 Grendel to reach? Not exactly sure what you'd gain in a shorter barrel here with that caliber, considering how damn expensive it is

@Sunshine_Shooter I'm inclined to agree, which is exactly why I brought the point up. After all, the whole point of 6.8SPC wasn't to be a deer-and-pig rifle caliber, but a nice stop gap between 556 and 762x51, while performing better in shorter barrels. It sounds crazy to some people at first, but short barreled 6.5G really isn't a bad idea.

Anyone identify the handguard? I like it...

@ChuckCVG Thanks, it's a 12" UTG pro. Relatively cheap, but well built and designed. That said, I've had good luck with even cheaper handguards like those from AIM sports.
