Deal: Mossberg 500 Heatshield & Pistol Grip

Image Provided by Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore

    What the deal is:

The deal is it’s a Mossberg 500, one of probably the two most popular shotguns in America. This comes with an original stock and heat shield installed, as well as a pistol grip kit. It’s a pump-action 12-gauge with an 18″ black-finished barrel and a 3″ chamber, and holds 5+1 rounds. The weight was unlisted, but based on similar products on Mossberg’s website the weight is probably 6.75 lbs.

    Why it’s a good deal:

It’s on sale for $249 at Sportsman’s Outdoors, from it’s $399 original price, a discount of $150 and just under 38%. Interestingly, this specific model appears to have been discontinued by Mossberg, as it’s Manufacturer’s ID (50515) no longer appears on the Mossberg website, so there is no MSRP to compare it to.

M&P Sport II rifles are excellent entry and mid tier AR rifles. It has a 16″ 1:9 barrel made from 4140 steel, an over-all length of 35″, and it weighs 6.45 lbs. It’s rear sight is a Magpul Folding (MBUS) and it’s front sight is an adjustable A2 post. The rifle also comes with a forward assist and dust cover, a chromed firing pin, and a six-position buttstock. It’s easy to accessorize, and is compatible with almost all after-market AR-15 parts.

Smokey Mountain Guns and Ammo is selling these for $270 off MSRP, savings of about 36.5%. It is a complete rifle, coming with a single 30-round magazine and iron sights, meaning that it pairs well with the next deal:

The ammunition comes packaged in 10-round stripper clips inside of this ammo can. All the brass is reloadable, and has passed DOD quality-assurance.

    Why it’s a good deal:

This ammo clocks in at $0.33 (and a third) cents per round. That’s pretty good. More, a box of 420 rounds of M855 has an general retail price of $159.99, which means PSA is offering it at $20 under MSRP, or 12.5% off.

    What the deal is:

Combat Armory is selling OEM Glock magazines for both the 17 and the 19, meaning they’re selling magazines for any 9×19 Glock in 17 or 15 rounds respectively. Glock magazines are all one-way compatible, meaning that magazines for a larger pistol are compatible with any smaller-framed handgun in the same caliber. It doesn’t work both ways, Glock 17 magazines will fit into a Glock 19, but G19 magazines won’t work in the G17.

    Why it’s a good deal:

Glock 17 and 19 magazines MSRP for $29.99, but are being sold here for $19.99, $10 or just over 33% off. It’s a good price-point, especially when you consider these are OEM Glock magazines, not made by a third-party manufacturer.

Ruger LCP in .380 AUto and $50 gift card – $209.99

    Image Provided by Sportsman’s Guide

    What the deal is:

Sportsman’s Guide is selling the Ruger LCP. The LCP’s small size makes it perfect for pocket-carry or concealed-carry during hot summer months, or whenever it’s difficult to conceal a larger handgun. It holds 6+1 rounds of 380 Auto, is 5.16″ long with a 2.75″ barrel, stands 3.60″ inches high, is 0.82″ wide, and weighs 9.6 oz. The blued barrel has a 1:16″ twist. It comes with a single magazine.

    Why it’s a good deal:

At $209.99 (or $199.49 for Buyer’s Club members), it’s 19.2% off it’s MSRP of $259.99, which is an okay deal. If that were all it probably wouldn’t have made the list. However, Sportsman’s Guide is also offering a $50 eGift Card, meaning that if you were planning on buying anything else from Sportsman’s in the near future, you save $50. Sportsman’s also has 380 Auto for sale starting at $0.19 cents per round, meaning that $50 could keep your Ruger LCP fed for quite some time.
