OK, this is not the KGB you thought about. In this case, KGB stands for Kraft Gun Builders and KGB LLC is an American company specialized in making AK accessories. Their latest product that has just been released is an AK pistol brace adapter called Stinger47. Let’s take a closer look.
The idea behind this brace adapter design is to provide a different, streamlined alternative to the AR-15 buffer tube based stabilizing braces. The Stinger47 is specifically designed to work with Gear Head Works Tailhook Mod1 pistol brace which is arguably the most minimalistic and compact brace currently available on the market. The adapter itself has a unique curved shape and skeletonized design. There are two sets of cutouts on top, bottom and sides of the adapter with an angled reinforcing rib left right at the middle portion of this accessory.
Here is how the company describes their new product:
The new Stinger47 pistol brace adapter provides an alternative to the traditional pistol buffer tube assembly.
Gone are the days of the ugly “rubber boot” pistol brace. The Stinger47 provides for a rock-solid platform on the ultimate AK pistol.
The KGB LLC Stinger 47 brace adapter is machined out of 6061 billet aluminum and features a Type III hard coat anodized finish. It is currently available in black color option only. This brace adapter utilizes the 2-bolt mounting system. To make it a folding brace, the company suggests using it with StormWerkz stock folding mechanism. You can also mount it directly to the rear trunnion of 2-bolt interface and have a fixed brace.
The Stinger47 brace adapter is available on KGB LLC’s website at an MSRP of $109.95. Right now you can buy it at a limited time discounted price of $94.95.
