This time we’re going to look at their COSMOS 751 Bolt-Action sniper rifle, with a claimed effective shooting range up to just short if a mile.
The Turkish company make several claims about their sniper rifle, between up to 1 400 and 1 600 meters effective range, both which I would take with a huge pinch of salt. Neither the .223 Rem nor the .308 Win are really effective up to that range. Even at half that distance those rounds will begin to struggle (being kind).
Below: I would say that unless you have a really large head, you’re going to have huge problems with the height of the rifle scope versus the off-the-shelf AR15 buttstock.
And I’m not going into a debate where I would say that the 7,62×51 mm / 308 Win is a bad round for precision shooting. I have confirmed hits out to 900 meters with my Ruger 308, and I could have pushed more unless my Schmidt & Bender scope ran out of clicks. However I wasn’t close to shooting 1 MOA, and I highly doubt the claims made for the COSMOS 751 rifle.
Turkey making their own firearms
However it is clear that Turkey wants (have to) make their own firearms. They have one of the largest armies in the World, but companies like Heckler & Koch (for instance) have given up selling firearms to Turkey. TFB wrote about it already in 2016, and I don’t think the situation has improved.
According to their homepage, the BALİSTİK Defense Industry Company was established in 2015 as in Turkey with the aim to increase R&D and production of firearms.
They describe the Cosmos 751 in a few different versions, all with various specifications, so either the design isn’t frozen or they have several versions of the marketing material ongoing.
“Operational in five different calibers, upon the change of the barrel, upper mechanism and magazine”
“1 400 meters effective shooting range”
“Adjustable trigger, stock and cheek-piece.”

BALISTIK Defence is licensed by Ministry of Defence itself as producer and exporter company. By planning and effective research and development in the Project it has started to produce COSMOS Bolt Action Rifle, which has 1MOA shooting precision in long-range with 1.100 to 1.600 meters of effective shooting range.
COSMOS is one of the Bolt Action Rifles which is 7.62x51mm(.308) and 5.56x45mm(.223) calibers. There is almost no resiliance during shooting with COSMOS.
COSMOS provides customisation to its user with its adjustable stock and ergonomically designed fore-end and changable perecision/weight in single stage trigger which is in MIL SPEC standards.
Trigger weight can be adjusted between 600gr and 1500 gr and trigger itself can be positioned in three axis.
The magazine of COSMOS is a polymer magazine in MILC SPEC standards. Capacity is designed as 5+1 and 10+1.
Standard barrel length is 24”/61 cm. Rifle inside of the barrel is made by two diferent methods such as Broach and Button. There is a 22mm 0MOA piccatiny rail on the body and also a long piccatiny under the stock.
The piccatiny rail on the body is fixed on the body with four screws, it can be adjusted.
Precision in Production
According to their homepage the Cosmos is already in production, and has 1 MOA precision in long range, effective up to 1 600 meters.
As a reference 1 mile is equal to 1 609 meters. So the claim is just shy of 9 meters to the mile, which I consider highly unrealistic unless the purpose is to strike fear into an enemy that doesn’t know better.

The Cosmos looks a bit like the Blaser LRS2 Tactical Sniper rifle, but I know which one I’d rather have (but not pay for).
It seems they get a lot of inspiration from German firearms, but with all the MKE clones (G3, MP5 etc.) that is understandable.
You can get the Cosmos in Black, Camo or NATO Green. Notice that the chassis is slightly different, and that there is some kind of sound suppressor (or look-alike) mounted.
It seems you can get the Cosmos in caliber 410 Ga Shotgun as well, with a 9+1 round capacity. I presume this has to do with local laws that don’t permit rifled barrels.
On the homepage they mention that the capacity is designed as 5+1 or 10+1, so not sure what to believe.
They have a carbon fiber project going on, but there is no information available.
On top of this, they also make a bolt-action shotgun with an effective (claimed) range up to 250 meters / 275 yards. That would require a slug to be shot, unless you count a rain of birdshots as hits, and they mention sabot jacketed shotgun ammunition to be used.
