Rock River Arms has introduced a new member of the LAR-15 family of rifles – the RRAGE Carbine. This rifle is advertised to provide a look and performance of the more expensive billet and monolithic upper receivers and handguards at a much more affordable price point.

The Rock River Arms RRAGE Carbine is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. Its extruded flat top upper receiver and the free-floated M-LOK handguard are made of 6061 aluminum. The company points out the clean joint of the handguard and upper receiver describing it the following way:

Matched to the receiver is a similarly constructed 6061T aluminum free-float handguard that blends almost seamlessly with the upper to provide an elegant, unitized profile and balanced strength and rigidity across the optics platform. The CAR-length handguard boasts a full-length MS1913 top rail and features the popular M-LOK™ rail configuration for easy accessory adaptation. The M-LOK™ system along the side and bottom surfaces lets shooters run a clean handguard or add only the rail accessories needed to help maintain a sleek, snag-free signature.

The Rock River Arms RRAGE Carbine also features a 16″ chrome-moly barrel with a 1:9 twist rate. It has a carbine-length gas system with a low-profile gas block. The rifle also comes with a single stage trigger, A2 pistol grip, and an RRA six-position tactical carbine buttstock. The lower receiver is also made by RRA from an aluminum forging. The upper receiver lacks a forward assist installation provision. The muzzle is threaded with a standard 1/2-28 thread pitch and the rifle comes with an A2 (birdcage) flash hider. The overall length of this rifle is 36″ with the stock extended. The empty weight of RRAGE Carbine is 5.7 lbs. The rifle comes with one RRA polymer magazine.

Rock River Arms RRAGE Carbine is listed on the company’s website at an MSRP of $759.99.
