Testing and comparing the Leupold Mark 5 vs. the Athlon Argos. Joel looks at five categories and determines which scope is better. Can a $400 scope hang with a much higher priced optic? What is the lowest price scope that you would absolutely recommend to a friend? Check out the Long Range Scope Test – $2500 VS. $400 video over on TFBTV.

MANY of these "comparison" tests remind me of Consumer Reports. The magazine where they compare apples and oranges, then rate them on which has the best grape flavor.

Basically, Euro glass is top class, Japan glass next, than Chinese glass. There are grades to all 3 sources. Can't remember if there is a high end US producer of glass for optics. Must be at least one.
