Kimber has introduced a new variation of the K6s revolver – the K6s Classic Engraved. This version of the revolver is identical to other K6s revolvers in terms of the features and characteristics with the exception that it is a factory engraved gun. The engraving gives this modern weapon a bit of a classic look. Here is how Kimber describes it:
The K6s Classic Engraved adds a subtle elegance to the modern concealed carry revolver. A beautiful leaf engraving over subdued brush finish provides a quite sophistication, that when paired with the polished motif rosewood grips completely transforms this contemporary revolver into a true classic.
K6s Classic Engraved is a double action only 6-shot revolver chambered in .357 Magnum. The trigger pull weight is stated to be from 9.5 to 10.5 lbs. The frame, as well as the 2″ barrel, are made of stainless steel. The revolver features white three dot sights with a 4.1″ sight radius. K6s Classic Engraved weighs 23 oz (with an empty cylinder) and has the following dimensions: length – 6.62″; width – 1.39″; height – 4.46″.
Kimber K6s Classic Engraved revolver is listed in the Special Editions section on K6s revolvers’ page of the company’s website. The MSRP for this iteration of the K6s revolver is $1,455.
Overall, I like the engraving theme and appearance of this special edition revolver. The engraving is not overdone and the gun has a good balance of engraved and non-engraved surfaces. The engraved rosewood grips also look good with the overall theme. However, not only any particular engraving pattern but owning engraved guns, in general, is a matter of personal preference. Some people will not see a value there considering that mechanically this gun is identical to the non-engraved ones but comes at a much higher price. For example, the plain K6s stainless has an MSRP of $899. Others won’t mind paying the price to carry this beautiful engraved version of the Kimber K6s revolver.
