Smith & Wesson has slowly been re-introducing their revolvers of years gone by to the delight of many double-action wheelgun fans. The newest addition to this collection is the staple Model 19. It has been introduced again in two different offerings for consumers. One being the Model 19 Classic and the other a Performance Center Model 19 Carry Comp.

Both of these returning models feature the aesthetic look of revolvers from the past, but employ more modern fabrication processes and materials for improved strength and functioning. Smith & Wesson provides this encompassing statement on their website regarding all of the models in the Classic series of revolvers.

The Smith & Wesson Classics series of revolvers have been enhanced with modern internal components, but mimic the look and feel of classic models… The revolver dons a highly polished, blued finish and traditional thumbpiece for a classic look.

    Got lock; not classic.

That "Carry Comp" looks silly with the weird placement of the front sight. And with the IL (a.k.a., the "Hillary Hole"), you'll never see one in my collection.
