Armadillo Concealment X-FER V2: Universal Light Holster

Armadillo Concealment makes a light specific holster that can be used with any handgun, as long your handgun can mount a pistol light. They started with the X-FER which was a kydex molded light holster.

The XFER V2 is an updated version. It looks like it is injection molded. The X-FER is an IWB holster design but the X-FER V2 was designed to be modular. You can use it IWB or OWB. And since the X-FER holster holds onto the pistol light, you can use suppressors with the X-FER holsters.

The X-FER reminds me of the SureFire masterfire holster. It too holds a handgun and allows the use of a suppressor.

The patented X-FER is a weapon light specific holster, not handgun specific.

LIGHT SPECIFIC: This means the X-FER locks on to the weapon light system (currently the X-300U-A and X-300) verse the trigger guard like the other holsters available now.

MODULARITY: The X-FER V2 can be worn Outside the Waistband and Inside the Waistband. It comes standard with an IWB loop. Utilizing it’s multiple mounting holes you can affix it to most mounting platforms including Tek-Locs and/or drop leg mounts. You can also adjust the cant and ride height.

SILENCER/SUPPRESSOR: The X-FER V2 allows for you to holster a firearm with a mounted Silencer/Suppressor.

MINIMALISTIC: Our holster is minimal when in the IWB configuration but still offers concealment, stability and comfort.

AMBIDEXTROUS: The X-FER V2 is capable of being worn on the right or left. South paws you no longer have to special order a holster.

TRANSFERABLE: Hence the “X-FER”. The X-FER V2 is able to be transferred from one gun to the next as long as the Surefire X-300U-A fits your firearm’s manufactured rail (*AC Note* will not work with some firearms). You can X-FER from a Glock to a M&P to a XD to a 1911. It does not matter if you have a compact or full size pistol, as long you can mount the weapon light the X-FER will fit. If it has not sunk in yet….No more having to switch lights and/or holsters when you change your mind and want to carry your other firearm. No more buying multiple holsters for every firearm with the same light!

Currently does not fit:

Surefire X-300U-B weapon lights. (Please see our original X-FER for this weapon light)

CZ polymer semi-autos, FNH FX45, Sig P320, HK USP, Surefire HK Railadapter, GG&G HK Rail adapter

SilencerCo Osprey Suppressors (some have success when mounted to 1911’s)

It appears the holster has matching holes on both sides for attaching the belt loops or a Teklok .At the moment holster has matching holes on both sides for attaching the belt loops. The X-FER is made for either the SureFire X300-UB (the ones with the screw) or Streamlight TLR-1 The X-FER-V2 is designed for the X300-UB witht he clip or older X300.

I would like to see X-FER-V2 to work with SureFire’s X400 series lights/lasers as well as a version for TLR-2.

The X-FER is only $59.99 while the X-FER V2 is $64.99. Check out their website for more info.

For a duty size pistol, which type of accessory do people think is more practical, a pistol light or a red dot sight?

@noob I tend to prefer laser spotlights myself. But appropriate application can be iffy.

I was gung-ho to put a laser on my Glock 20, until I noticed how flexible the dust cover was!

I've got their Lux holster, and I switch between my 2 Polymer80 pistols (compact and fullsize) and my G17 Gen 4,with the weaponlight is a Streamlight TLR-1.

I think the LUX is a better holster if you just have a weaponlight and you wear a cover garment.

More options are better..but I don't see myself purchasing this holster. I prefer the better slide coverage of the Lux.
