Sureshot Armament Group makes an aluminum chassis for short action Remington 700 rifles. Among many other features, the company specifically points out the light weight of the chassis. Here is how they describe it:

Main idea behind SAG Lightweight Remington 700SA Rifle Chassis was to give shooter aluminum chassis rigidity with AR ergonomics but with the weight of the Carbon Fiber stock.
Overall chassis weight is just 1250 grams \ 2 lbs 12 oz (with AR Magpul pistol grip wo magazine) which is lighter (!) than original Hogue stock with internal bottom metal.

The SAG Remington 700 chassis is CNC machined out of billet aluminum. It has an adjustable cheek piece with a maximum extended height of 30mm ( 2 3/16″). The length of pull is adjustable with the shortest and longest lengths being 11.5″ and 14.5″ respectively. The buttpad height is also adjustable in the vertical plane by 30mm both up and down.

This Sureshot Armament Group chassis is compatible with AICS pattern magazines. It has M-LOK accessory mounting slots on the forearm. The chassis is also compatible with AR-15 pistol grips. It comes standard with an A2 grip, but you can install any aftermarket AR-15 grip no matter if it has a beavertail backstrap or not. The magazine release lever is integrated into the trigger guard.

This chassis doesn’t require any modifications to the action of Remington 700 rifle. Pretty much all you need is to remove the factory stock, drop the barreled action into the chassis and tightened it in place. It will fit not only factory Remington 700 actions but also aftermarket ones with an identical footprint. In the video below the chassis is shown with an Ultimatum Precision Deadline action.

The Sureshot Armament Group Remington 700 chassis is available for preorder on the company’s website at an MSRP of €720 (about $885) for the US orders and €880 for European customers. The price difference is caused by the VAT.
