The weight of these rifles varies from 7.8 Lbs to 9.2 Lbs depending on the caliber, barrel contour and length. All of these rifles have Howa’s 2 Stage H.A.C.T. Trigger and a 3 Position Safety. Howa went on to provide a further explanation of their newest rifle.
The H-S Precision rifle stocks are built one at a time from the highest quality raw material. H-S Precision starts by CNC machining the aluminum bedding block. Every stock produced will have an aluminum bedding block that is machined specifically to the dimensions of the Howa Barreled Action. The aluminum bedding block is then placed into a mold. Both sides of the mold are hand laminated with Kevlar, fiberglass and carbon fiber. An abundant amount of these materials are added for strength and durability. Next the mold is injected with a proprietary mixture of a dense polyurethane foam material. This gives the general shape and design of the stock. The rest of the time is spent hand finishing the stock to ensure it is perfect.
The starting MSRPs range from $1,099 to $1,299 for the Howa H-S Precision rifle. Their formal specification sheet can be seen below.

I think Bergara is beating them at this price point, though Howa is offering a better selection of barrels and calibers. .308/6.5 seems to be reigning supreme right now.

We recently bought a Howa 1500 used for a project. And it IS shooting well under 1 MOA. And the trigger on it is no joke. Breaks at 2.13lbs.
I don't know one Howa from another. But it looks like this rifle pictured. And since it didn't get any love in the used gun case, we walked it out for $317 all in.
The only negative I can call on it so far is the bolt lift is on the heavy side.
