The Springfield Armory SAINT AR-15 Pistol Goes for a Test-Drive

    SAINT AR-15 Pistol

Springfield Armory has been on a tear the last year with new iterations of the SAINT series of AR-15 firearms. First, Springfield Armory introduced the original SAINT model in October of 2016. They then followed up with an M-LOK free-float handguard version to many people’s delight. We at TFB then followed up with a thorough review of the SAINT M-LOK by our rifle savy and intelligent writer Thomas Gomez. The next in line for Springfield Armory was a Flat Dark Earth (FDE) variant of the original Keymod model. After that was a Cali-compliant version of the SAINT M-LOK that featured a Survivor System Stock. Then, I had the personal pleasure of seeing the unveiling of the SAINT AR-15 Pistol last November. The final firearm to come into the fold was a more premium rendition with the SAINT Edge.

SAINT AR-15 PistolSpringfield Armory used to be only known for their M1A rifles, but they are slowly building a quality reputation for modern sporting rifles as well. To further delve into the quality, the good, the bad or the ugly our friends at AllOutdoor took the SAINT AR-15 Pistol for a little test drive.

They pushed lead down range at both indoor and outdoor ranges. Tested it on targets as close as 10 yards and all the way out to 100 yards using a no magnification Trijicon RMR. That may not sound very far, but bear in mind that this is a pistol.

The AllOutdoor review also offers up a few suggestions and opinions on how to more easily shoot an AR-15 pistol in general. A gold nugget of knowledge was shared by one of the seasoned employees at Springfield Armory that could make your next range trip with an AR-15 pistol a lot more enjoyable, and more accurate!

Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments. If you are contemplating adding one to your arsenal or if you already own one and have some opinions to share.
